How to use them Total length and AB length (trimmed) Axis spans: untrimmed deviations Axis spans aligned to master orientation (trimmed) Values that use existing tokens Notes

The Overall Lengths tab shows two sets of results: Untrimmed Overall Lengths and Hypothetical Trimmed Overall Lengths. The trimmed values estimate what the overall length and AB length would be if the tube ends were trimmed to their correct end lengths.

Until now, most of the trimmed values and all of the axis span deviations (XD, YD, ZD) could only be seen on screen. This update adds report tokens for them, so custom HTML reports can include the same values shown on the Overall Lengths tab.

How to use them

Put a token in your HTML report template the same way as any other VTube value:

<td><vtube_val>ab_length_measured_after_trim</vtube_val></td>

Token names are not case-sensitive.

Total length and AB length (trimmed)

Token Overall Lengths field What it reports
tube_length_measured_after_trim Lme Measured total tube length after the hypothetical trim
tube_length_delta_after_trim Ldev Trimmed measured length minus the master length
ab_length_measured_after_trim ABme Measured AB length between the trimmed ends
ab_length_delta_after_trim ABdev Trimmed AB length minus the master AB length
AB-LenTrimmedOOT OOT How far the trimmed AB length is out of tolerance. It shows 0 when in tolerance and is colored and marked like the existing AB-LenOOT token

Axis spans: untrimmed deviations

Token Field What it reports
x-span-delta XD Aligned X span minus master X span
y-span-delta YD Aligned Y span minus master Y span
z-span-delta ZD Aligned Z span minus master Z span

Axis spans aligned to master orientation (trimmed)

Token Field What it reports
x-span-aligned-after-trim XA X span of the aligned tube with trimmed ends
y-span-aligned-after-trim YA Y span of the aligned tube with trimmed ends
z-span-aligned-after-trim ZA Z span of the aligned tube with trimmed ends
x-span-delta-after-trim XD Trimmed X span minus master X span
y-span-delta-after-trim YD Trimmed Y span minus master Y span
z-span-delta-after-trim ZD Trimmed Z span minus master Z span

Values that use existing tokens

These fields are the same in both sections, so use the tokens that already exist:

Field Token
Lma calclengthmaster
ABma ab-lenmaster
Tol+ / Tol- AB-LenTolPos / AB-LenTolNeg
Untrimmed OOT AB-LenOOT
XM / YM / ZM x-span-master / y-span-master / z-span-master
Untrimmed XA / YA / ZA x-span-aligned / y-span-aligned / z-span-aligned

Notes

  • All values use the report's current display units.
  • Only AB-LenTrimmedOOT is color-coded for tolerance. The other new tokens show plain numbers, matching the Overall Lengths tab.
  • The trimmed values are hypothetical. They show what the part would measure after trimming, not the measured part as it is.
