VTube 4.5 Build 1967 - August 21, 2026
1 - NEW - CREATE BOSSES for drilling from Planes, Circles, and Round Slots - for BENT and UNBENT Tube
- This new feature will allow you to drill the hull shape of planes, circles, and even round slots into the bent or unbent tube wall.
- This will allow for angled end trims in unbent tubes.
2 - NEW - Construction Features Capabilities
- New - Now NAME the bosses. The name, if used, will display in the Constructed Features grid.
- New - Now move the constructed features to new straights in the Constructed features grid.
3 - NEW - Automatic assembly measure was improved.
- The assembly measure now uses the tubes that have “Measured” enabled in the Assembly Control. All other tubes are ignored in the measure.
- Assembly measure now uses UNISCAN QuickStart.
- The messages in VTube-LASER were improved for when the process switches to a new tube.
- A new “Change to the assembly control window” button is added to the measure complete window. This allows users to quickly access the assembly tube align.

4 - New - Build Space Object CIRCLES from surfaces, circle edges, or arc edges in STEP mode

VTube 4.5 Build 1966 - August 7, 2026
1 - NEW - Automatic Floating System Status Window

- The floating window shows the Windows User and Windows GDI object counts, as well as the total memory used by VTube.
- Windows, by default, allows up to 10,000 instances of either object type to be created by any running program.
- When either count exceeds 8000, VTube displays the System Status window and changes the background to red, indicating a recommendation to close and restart VTube.
- If the memory value climbs past 800 megabytes, then VTube will warn the user that it is nearing maximum memory. It will turn the memory banner red and continuously display the System Status window until the user resolves the issue.
- The floating window can be manually loaded at any time from either the VTube-STEP or the VTube-LASER viewport popup menu.

2 - FIX - VTube-STEP Linear Dimension Redraws
- Linear dimensions did not always redraw in VTube-STEP. Now they do.
3 - ENHANCED - Space Objects Control Grid for VTube-STEP
- In the VTube-STEP version, the measured columns no longer allow for geometric space object control because these objects are only drawn in VTube-LASER mode.
- The grayed cells have no meaning in VTube-STEP when it is loaded without VTube-LASER. (This does not apply to VTube-STEP that is running as part of VTube-LASER.)
