See the Error Dialog for an Incorrect Benderlink Network Path

Many protocols communicate through a network path. (Supravision Network is an example). If a network path error occurs when communicating with a bender, you will see a dialog similar to this:

For example, you might be performing a RECALL from the bender like this:

In the example above, we've programmed a non-existent path to show how VTube reacts to the error. The solution is to fix the path.

How to FIX a Benderlink Network Path

STEP 1 - Click on Setup and Calculations
STEP 2 - Click on Configure Benderlink Protocols
STEP 3 - Fix the path for the appropriate bender.
STEP 4 - Close the window.
STEP 5 - See the corrected path and try the communications again.

How to Check a Network Path Using File Explorer

If you believe the original path is correct but VTube still shows the error dialog, use a Windows File Explorer window to test the path.

STEP 1 -Copy the path from the Benderlink grid.

  • Click on the path until it is selected.
  • Press Ctrl-C or right-click to use the popup menu to Copy the selected path to the clipboard.

STEP 2 - Load a File Explorer window

  • Paste the path in the clipboard to the File Explorer address box and press Enter.
STEP 3 - If Explorer displays an error, you will know that the path needs to be fixed.

Entering Network Credentials

Another common problem is that credentials are required to access the folder.

Enter the credentials, click on Remember my credentials, then press OK.
