VTube 4.5 Build 1952 - Not Released
1 - NEW - Segmented Centerline File Import Has New Capabilities
- You can import point clouds that are segmented into separate straights by an external Keyence camera process.
- New - each group of points is used to fit the 3D points to ordered 3D centerlines.
- New - The 3D centerlines are intersected into a tube centerline.
- New - They are then copied to the VTube-LASER MEASURED TUBE data grid for PASS/FAIL qualification.
This diagram shows the order of the segmented scan process from the gauge's top view. The segments are scanned by a Keyence scanner in this order. The resulting data is sent to VTube-LASER for inspection as a file containing 3D points separated into individual, ordered, straight sections. VTube-LASER loads the MASTER/NOMINAL for this part and performs a PASS/FAIL inspection.

This is the interface shown in VTube-LASER for manual testing of this process.

2 - NEW - MATERIAL TABLE Now Stores the Elongation Percentage for Each Material Type
- The MATERIAL TABLE now stores the Elongation percentage for each material setup.

3 - NEW - The MODEL EXPORT Window Now Has a Clear Viewport Button
- You can now clear the current model in the viewport with a single button.

VTube 4.5 Build 1951 - May 14, 2026
1 - NEW - Now VTube Saves the Model Export Model With the Project
VTube now saves the model in the Model Export window in a parallel project file.
When the project is reloaded later, the model is loaded into the window as well.
VTube 4.5 Build 1950 - May 8, 2026
1 - New STEP and IGES Export Window
- This new window contains and displays a copy of either VTube-STEP or VTube-LASER models.
- You can modify the model in this window by removing surfaces before export.
- This allows you to export models with parts removed without disturbing the models in the VTube-STEP and VTube-LASER windows.
- The same export window works for both STEP and IGES file exports. Copy the model into the window, then export it to either file type or both.
2 - Fixes to End Trim Collection Logic in VTube-STEP
- We fixed a VTube-STEP end trim bug that would sometimes give the wrong result for end points during the parametric build.
3 - Fixes and Additions to the Point Bucket Control
- We made the user interface more logical and compact by rearranging the two first tab menus. We moved the configuration controls used for point separation during scanning into the first Scan tab menu. The second tab is renamed to “After-Scan Filters,” and only contains the configuration controls and values for trimming point counts in bucket based on point proximity.
- The Point Bucket Control now allows you to automatically remove all incoming points that have a position of 0,0,0 in the After-Scan Filters tab menu.
- The POINT TYPE values can now be changed in the setup grid. (The types control the appearance of points on the screen.)
- Several fixes were made to other minor issues.
4 - Fixes to Constructed Drill Bit Boss in VTube-STEP
- We found and fixed bugs related to the drawing and deleting of bosses in VTube-STEP.
- Bosses are used to drill holes and create space object circles.
5 - Fixes to Collected Surfaces in VTube-STEP
- We found and fixed bugs related to the drawing of collected surfaces in VTube-STEP.
- These surfaces are used to generate new shape and location data for tubes.
