About Stream Read Errors

If a Stream read error dialog displays when trying to run VTube, Windows Defender File Access is probably blocking VTube's access to the Public folder system.

Ask your IT department to add the C:\Users\Public\Documents\VTube path as an exception in the virus & threat protection settings in Windows Defender. 

What is a data stream?

A data stream is a software metaphor for a continuous flow of binary data input or output from VTube. Streams can be moved in memory or moved from storage (like disks) to memory and back. Using streams is the fastest way to move huge amounts of data quickly in a computer. If VTube shows a stream error, then it is most likely because it is blocked from performing file input/output with streams of data from files.
