Version 4.2.1446, February 2, 2024
1 - The positioning of floating control windows was fixed to display on the correct side of the screen for any multi-screen setup.
2 - A new Springback menu for springback calculation from measured data was added to the Measured Tube menu.
3- A new Springback calculation button for springback calculation from compensated data was added to the Bend Setup Springback menu.
4 - VTube-STEP has improved memory handling for calculating parametric data from collected cylinder entities.
Version 4.2.1454, February 9, 2024
User warnings were added for three conditions in SB calculations.
- All the NOMINAL BEND ANGLE VALUES are nearly identical in this part. (The threshold is 5 degrees.)
Only the PROPORTIONAL ANGLE springback will be calculated. The FIXED ANGLE springback will be zero.
For a more realistic springback setup, use a part with at least two different bend angles. - The NOMINAL BEND ANGLE VALUES are too close to ZERO. (The threshold is 0.1 degrees.)
VTube cannot calculate springback variables when bends are this small. - There is only ONE NOMINAL BEND ANGLE in this part.
Only the PROPORTIONAL ANGLE springback will be calculated. The FIXED ANGLE springback will be zero.
For a more realistic springback setup, use a part with at least two different bend angles.
Version 4.2.1451, February 6, 2024
Springback table search features were added.
Version 4.2.1450, February 5, 2024
New Springback optimizations were added.
1 - A new Part Setup popup option will add a new row to the Springback table and then transfer the current Material, Springback, and Elongation variables to that row.
2 - Multiselect delete is now available in the Springback Table (ST).
3 - A new "Copy from Part Setup All" button is added to ST
4 - New UI direction arrows help users know what direction data flows in ST.

Version 4.2.1448, February 3, 2024
VTube-STEP and VTube-LASER now use color-coded arrows pointing to the Part Setup springback values immediately after the values are calculated.
- A blue arrow indicates that the MEASURED tube data was used to calculate the springback variables.
- An orange arrow indicates that the COMPENSATED tube data was used to calculate the springback variables.
- A green arrow indicates that the OVERBEND calculator was used to calculate the springback variables.
- The arrows disappear after 15 seconds.
- Click on the arrows to make them disappear before 15 seconds.
- The arrows are floating windows that do not interfere with the VTube user interface.
- We added this logic for models with a high bend count (anything > 50).
- A new option in the Graphics menu in System Options allows the surface data to be cleared immediately after the tube centerline is calculated.
- In our tests, this saved about 1 megabyte per straight calculated.
- This logic also reduces the size of the project files because surface data is stored in project files.
